Will Harlan, Founder
After graduating from Duke University in 2009, Will Harlan launched a consumer-internet startup in San Francisco while quietly starting a wine project. In 2013, he introduced The Mascot, a wine from younger vines of the Harlan family domain, which his official entry into the wine business. Will took over leadership of Promontory, the Harlan family’s most recent venture, in 2017. In 2021, his role expanded when his father appointed him Managing Director of Domain H. William Harlan, overseeing Harlan Estate, BOND, Promontory, and The Mascot.

Amanda Harlan, Family Director
Amanda Harlan, born and raised in Napa Valley, grew up immersed in the region’s winegrowing culture and community. She developed an early passion for horses and competed on the U.S. Junior Olympic Dressage team. After earning a Psychology degree from USC, Amanda began her career at LVMH, expanding her knowledge of international wine. Influenced by her family’s dedication to creating a lasting legacy, she joined BOND’s harvest in 2014, marking her entry into the Harlan winegrowing domain. Today, Amanda serves as Family Director, contributing her global perspective and community focus.

Cory Empting, Winemaker
Cory Empting, a Napa Valley native, found his passion for winegrowing at age 15. He studied viticulture at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and interned at Harlan Estate and BOND, working alongside mentor Bob Levy. Cory honed his skills further in Spain, Argentina, and Australia before joining Harlan Estate full-time in 2001. He became Winemaker at Harlan Estate and BOND in 2007 and contributed to the development of Promontory. In 2021, Cory was appointed Managing Director of Winegrowing for the Harlan family domain and is supported by Bob Levy in this role.

Mollie Maisch, Director
Mollie Maisch first joined Domain H. William Harlan in 2011. Since that time, she has served in a variety of roles across the Domain with unwavering dedication. Now, as Director, Mollie is the key spokesperson for The Mascot, and primary representative of its distinct identity and philosophy. Within this role, she travels the world, bringing to life the story of the wine and engaging partners, accounts, and patrons globally.
